Masters Tennis is a vibrant and well supported element of tennis in Munster, with hundreds of players from 35 to 85+ years of age taking part each year in up to eight competitions throughout the Province, as well as three National Tournaments, and Interprovincial Weekends.
Munster players are well represented on the National Teams which play in the World Championships and the Four Nations Competition each year.
The Masters Committee of Munster Tennis is charged with furthering the interests of Masters players in our province by representing them at National level on an ongoing basis. We aid this by assisting clubs in running quality tournaments, thereby enhancing lifelong participation and enjoyment of this very sociable sector of our sport.
The Masters Committee fosters the use of these tournaments as the basis of selection for representative teams, which adds to the levels of participation and competitiveness in Munster.
