STATEMENT OF DATA PROTECTION POLICY
We will use information that you provide to us to provide you with the services that you receive at Munster Tennis, to meet the purposes of performing our obligations to you, and for administration, risk assessment, health and safety responsibilities.
Your data may be recorded by Munster Tennis electronically, kept and processed on computer or in manual form. We may disclose your data to Tennis professionals and coaches operating with Munster Tennis and to other service providers for these purposes. Through this notice we are letting you know what we intend doing with your information before collecting it, or you confirming it, so that you can decide whether or not to furnish that information to us.
You agree to keep Munster Tennis informed of any changes to the personal data that you provide and are entitled to write to the Administrator of Munster Tennis at [email protected] to request a copy of your personal data which Munster Tennis holds. Should inaccuracies exist in your personal data held you are entitled to request that Munster Tennis amend or erase it.
Tennis Ireland’s ‘National Player Database’:
Munster Tennis is a branch of Tennis Ireland, which is the National Governing Body for the sport in Ireland. Tennis Ireland operates and maintains the National Player Database (the “NPD”) and for this purpose allocates each individual member of an affiliated club a unique personal identifier number (a “PIN”). The NPD has been designed by Tennis Ireland to provide members with enhanced services free of charge.
The purposes for which Tennis Ireland may use the NPD are to communicate directly with the people who play the sport in Ireland, to provide them with information and other benefits relating to their membership.
You agree that Munster Tennis and other affiliated Clubs at which you may play in competition may provide your name, address, phone number, email address, ITN No., gender, date of birth, your PIN and your results history to Tennis Ireland for the purposes of operating the NPD.
Tennis Ireland agrees to keep your data on the NPD securely and to only use it for the purposes set out in this letter. Except where required by law to do so Tennis Ireland will never provide your personal data stored on the NPD to any third party except to your Club or to a competition organiser for the purposes of confirming your details where you enter into a competition using your name, International Tennis Number and PIN.
Under the Data Protection Acts 1988 and 2003, as amended, you are entitled to write to the Administrator of Munster Tennis to request a copy of your personal data which Munster Tennis holds.
A Subject Access Request should be sent in writing and we undertake to reply within 40 calendar days. An original signed request should be sent by mail to our offices marked “Subject Access Request” enclosing a cheque or postal order for €5.00 made out to Munster Tennis.
You have the right to have your personal data corrected, if inaccurate, or erased if you can show that we no longer have a legitimate reason for retaining the data. We will not charge you for complying with such a request which should be sent in writing to our offices or by email to [email protected] marked “Data Correction Request” or “Data Deletion Request”, as appropriate. We undertake to comply within 40 calendar days.
Minors / Juniors
Where you have provided information about a minor person, aged under 18 years, you confirm that they have appointed you to act for them or that you are legally entitled to act for them, to consent to the processing of their personal data, and to receive, on their behalf, any data protection notices from The Tennis Hub, Munster Tennis or Tennis Ireland.

Tennis Ireland / Munster Tennis sometimes collects information from visitors to their websites at www.tennisireland.ie and www.munstertennis.ie.
Information is collected for the purpose of responding to visitors enquiries (such as name and contact details provided when requesting product information) or for general marketing activities (such as keeping you informed about events, tournaments or other news via a newsletter).
Non-personal information is recorded by the standard operation of our servers. Such information may include; the name of the ISP from which you access the Internet, the Search Engine and keywords you used to locate this site, the date and time you accessed the site, the Internet address of the website from which you enter our site and where you go after you leave our site.
