Munster Tennis strives to field the most competitive Munster Senior Interprovincial Teams for to represent Munster in the Tennis Ireland Interprovincial Championships (which are held each year) while also supporting the Irish Senior Tennis circuit including the Munster based events. The objective is to select players primarily based on results that have excelled the most in competitions each year. There is significant competition for places on Munster interprovincial Teams and a clear and transparent system is in place for selection of the Teams.
For 2025 selection, the Irish National Senior Player Ranking System will be utilised as appropriate. WTN Ratings will also be assessed to ensure the minimum standard of players.
Senior Interprovincial Teams consist of 5 male and 5 female players.

Failure to adhere to the required procedures may unfortunately result in a player forfeiting their place on the team.

Senior Interprovincial Teams consist of 5 male and 5 female players.
The selection process for these teams and associated criteria are as follows:
- Players must have a valid TI PIN and/or ITF PIN
- Players must be actively playing competitive tennis at an appropriate level.
- Players must have appropriate results from Registered Tournaments, Leagues & College Tournaments.
- The top two players in the Tennis Ireland Senior Rankings will be automatically selected for the Team.
- The Munster Senior Selection Committee will determine which player results are the most significant result(s) from individual players.
- Play off's between players may be considered by the Munster Senior Selection Committee to help determine final selections for the Teams.
- Players must be available for all days of the Interprovincial Championships including the Championship Dinner to be considered for selection. (see notes)
- Participation in a minimum of 1 Official Squad Training Session is required.
- Junior players wishing to be selected to play on the Munster Senior Interprovincial Team MUST also be available for selection for the Munster Junior Interprovincial Team except where a player can clearly show they are traveling for competition or educational purposes.
Further Information :
- It is the intention of Munster Tennis that the Non Playing Captain for the Senior Interprovincial Training Programme be appointed by the Selection Committee as early as January 2025.
- A panel of suitable players will be selected early in 2025 to ascertain availability and the final team will be selected from this panel.
- Final team selections will be made by the Munster Senior Selection Committee only.
- The decision of the Munster Senior Selection Committee in selecting the Interprovincial Team will be final and no discussions can take place in relation to same once the team is selected and announced.

Important notes for Players:
- Players must confirm they are fit to play for Munster. Should a player suffer an injury he/she must inform the non-Playing Captain immediately to discuss options.
- Players must commit to prepare specifically for the Interprovincial Championships and for each day of the event.
- Players must be available for the duration of the Interprovincial Championships including official meals and presentations.
- Players must commit to compete to the best of their ability at all times when representing Munster.
- Players must confirm they understand that this is a team event and that each individual performance is critical to the team performance and results.
- Players must play in specific matches and may play with specific partners as directed by the non Playing captain. Decisions of the non Playing Captain are final.
- Players must provide their most recent player profile information and a good digital photo for promotional purposes. Players must be available for photo opportunities during the Inter-Provincial Championships.
- Players must wear the official Munster supplied Kit for all matches during the event.
