Updated and published February 2022.
In order to facilitate the participation of tennis players in competitions with those of similar ability, Munster Tennis has set up and maintains a system of grading players. The current system has 7 different grades from 7 (beginner) up to grade 1. Players move up the grades on the basis of their performance in various competitions.
There are over 6,000 registered players in the current directory. The Branch has a sub-committee which is dedicated to keeping the directory as up-to-date as possible. With hundreds of matches in a large number of competitions to be monitored this is a huge undertaking.
The Munster Player Directory contains the actual directory. The Munster Branch Guide to Upgrading of Players is for guidance and to assist players and clubs in understanding the Grading Directory Rules.
Grading Directory Rules and Player Directory Application form for consideration for inclusion in the Munster Player Directory can also be downloaded.
