Young SENIORS, SENIORS & Super SENIORS Sanctioned Tournament Seeding and Scheduling Rules
RANKING / SEEDING:
The Irish Veteran (SENIORS) Player Ranking System will be used as the basis for all seeding of sanctioned Veteran Tournaments.
Should the individual Tournament Committee have insufficient information from the ranking system they must seek this information elsewhere and properly determine seedings. This may involve contacting the various provincial branches and/or a players club etc.
The Tournament Committee should consult the Munster Branch Veterans Convener and Munster Branch if there is any confusion whatsoever. Seedings have to be accurate.
A draw of 6 should have a minimum of 2 seeds while a draw with 8 players or more should have a minimum of 4 seeds.

SCHEDULING OF MATCHES
Sanctioned Veteran tournaments need to be scheduled effectively to uphold the integrity of the events while taking players health & well being into account. That is:
Failure to adequately seed/schedule a sanctioned tournament may result in sanction.
- A player shall not be asked to play more than 2 singles matches in one day under any circumstances.
- A player shall not be asked to play more than 4 matches (singles/doubles/mixed) in one day under any circumstances.
- In general, singles matches should be scheduled before doubles/mixed where possible. There should be at least a 90 minute break for players between singles matches.
- Draws need to be played out in a balanced way (particularly for singles) so as not to give undue advantage to one side of a draw over another. For instance if a semifinal in a singles draw has to be played on finals day then both semi-finals must be played on finals day.
- All Sanctioned Veteran Tournament Finals must be held on Finals day.
- Scheduling needs to be implemented in a structured way so that the tournament runs in an efficient manner taking into account the number of courts available and the number of players. Entries/Event Draws may need to be limited to achieve this.
