TENNIS 10S - REGIONAL CUP
We are delighted to announce our first Tennis 10s Regional Cup will be run at several venues throughout the province on the first week of January. This is an excellent opportunity for the children to practice the skills they have learnt and get back into the swing of things after the Christmas break.

What is the Tennis 10s Regional Cup?
This Tennis 10s team competition has been set up to introduce children into a fun competitive team environment to make new friends. Competition at all ages helps the long-term development of tennis players in any sport. This will not only promote greater participation of children in the game but will also provide an opportunity to develop a better standard of player.
Match Play Format:
- Teams will consist of 4 players which must consist of at least 1 boy/ 1 girl.
- Clubs can submit more than 1 team in each age group
- Teams will be divided into different groups.
- They will play each team in their group.
- All matches in the group stage will be singles matches and doubles matches may be played once group stages are over.
- These will be played at a regional venue.
- All participants will be guaranteed a minimum of 3 matches
- Parents may be asked to supervise some matches. No parent will be asked to supervise their own child's match.
- Players and spectators must follow the referee’s instructions/notices particularly with regard to viewing arrangements
Teams Must Consist Of:
Red Ball - 8 years and under - 4 players - Players must be 8 or younger on the day of the tournament)
Orange Ball - 9 years and under - 4 players - Players must be 9 or younger on the day of the tournament)
Green Ball - 10 years and under - 4 players - Players must be 10 or younger on the day of the tournament.
Children looking to play in the 10 and under green ball that are 10 are only allowed play if they have not qualified for u12 provincial/ national match play.
Children looking to play up an age group i.e, playing green ball tournament when only 8 years old, must hold an up to date tennis Ireland passport

There will be prizes for each player that participates.
Cost per team €20.
